A lesson on becoming famous

The day finally came for our dreaded dance class performance. Surprisingly, It was actually a lot of fun and I did not fall over/trip/cry and/or awkwardly laugh at myself the whole time because I was embarrassed and didn't know how to handle it.
A majority of the study abroad students are in this Irish music & dance module. We have class twice a week (taught by 1 of 5 or 6 professors, depending on the day and on their specialty) where we learn about regional styles of dance and song and their evolvement/significance in Ireland. Then we all also have a tutorial once a week where we got to choose to be in a dance class (several choices depending on different teachers/different levels), a song class, a tin whistle class, or a bodhran drum class... or all of the above if you were really enthusiastic.
My dance class attempting an Irish group dance
A different beginner class
Our second dance that our teacher choreographed for us to a uh... "modern" song.  As you can tell, my leg kicking enthusiasm is only at a 60%.
My friend Kelly, who has Irish danced since she was 4, wearing the coke cans in her hair. They quickly made this up the day of the performance! It was so cool to watch.
I never knew which eye to look at when I was talking to her.

In less than 19 hours, I will be done with my junior year of college classes. But who's counting? The answer: Me and every other UL student. I'm going to ignore the whole "finals" week thing for now and physically and mentally throw myself into vacation starting tomorrow. Or maybe I've already done that and that's why this math assignment is taking me 12 times longer than it should.

Here's to being 21, a short airplane ride, only 1 hour of time difference, and 12 days to explore Rome, Florence, Venice, & Paris... among SO many other amazingly beautiful things to come.
